Making glycerol stocks
Storing Bacterial Samples for Optimal Viability.
Protocol written by Shira Jaye Anteby-Maleh
- Create a solution with 50% glycerol and 50% sterile dH2O
- For a total of 1 ml (1,000ul) cell culture:
- Label all tubes
- Pipette (using P1000) 400ul 50% glycerol solution into tubes
- Pipette 600ul of each culture
- Store at -80C
